A happy person. That’s how I would describe Roberto right from the outset. His emails with us were always appreciative and considerate. That’s what makes my job enjoyable, and even more so when I receive the creative output from the flute they received.
This one is something special. It is a flute and choral singing collaboration that expands and elevates my mood. Composed by Roberto himself; he calls this composition Kyrie Eleison.
I asked Roberto to provide a backstory to this exceptional composition, and through our correspondence, I found a little bit more about him.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is currently a choir director in South Texas. It was through working with voices that Robert found a fascination and inspiration for music composition.
Roberto was recently introduced to the haunting melodies of the Native American Flute by a close friend who encouraged him to compose a piece for this instrument. Its warm, mellow and soothing tone matched with the versatility of the human voice opened a world of possibilities.

Upon receiving his Black Walnut C minor Grandfather Flute from Southern Cross Flutes, Roberto was so moved by its timbre, that he was inspired to compose a song that reflected the beauty of his instrument.
