Ancient Kauri – Beginners Forest Flute – B minor (high) – 432Hz – LARGE finger holes
USD $212
This custom made flute is crafted from native New Zealand Ancient Kauri, up to 40,000 years in age, a stunning Native American Style Flute with a soulful song to sing. As a flute wood, it creates a clear and warm tone, and has a simple elegance that’s not too ‘showy’.
This is the idea beginners flute as it has been made with five extra large finger holes at 12mm across the largest finger hole, so not suitable for small finger pads.
The primary difference in playing a five finger hole flute is that the 3rd hole (from the top) is not present in the 5 hole flute. Typically a beginner flute player will not extend the scale beyond the octave and so will end up leaving the 3rd hole covered most of the time. With 5 holes, this allows that finger to rest without impacting the sound of the other notes being played.
This flute is 432Hz, and features a moonstone on the nest.
