Western Red Cedar – Mayan Temple Flute – Various Keys
USD $685
Each Mayan Temple Flute is tuned to the first four notes of the minor pentatonic scale. This consists of the root note, minor third, perfect fourth, fifth, and the thumb hole as a minor sixth from the root note when all holes are uncovered. The left and right chambers of the flute harmonize as they are tuned fifths apart – if the right hand chamber has a low E root note, then the left has a high B root note.
The Western Red Cedar Mayan Temple Flute features Black Walnut on the mouthpiece, for added durability. It also features a copper Medicine Wheel, with gemstone set within.

About the wood
Western Red Cedar is the quintessential Native American love flute wood. Very light to hold, this flute-wood produces a classic warm, rich and resonant tone. Being a softwood, it is very absorbent which helps in reducing moisture buildup within the flute while playing. It is typically a light brown colour with a sweet woody aroma under the nose. Traditionally known as the “long life maker” or “tree of life”, Western Red Cedar is native to the American Pacific North West, and to this day has extensive applications among First Nation peoples.
About the stone
Garnet
Garnet aids circulation and all blood related issues. Associated with the First Chakra, it is a stone of physical love and relationships, and a spiritual stone of psychic protection.
Moonstone
Its loving energy promotes the Divine in all situations, and is an emotional support for intuitive or sensitive children. Rainbow Moonstone acts as a prism, diffusing energy throughout the aura. It provides psychic protection, clearing the mind and senses, and aids in lucid dreaming and calm sleep.
Rose Quartz
Rose quartz is often called the “Love Stone.” It’s energetic hallmark is that of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra. This makes rose quartz a stone for every type of love: self-love, family, platonic, romantic, and unconditional.
This stone is also used to raise self-esteem and a strong sense of self-worth. Its loving energies teach us to apply this love to ourselves and thereby find ourselves more worthy.Tiger Eye
Tigers Eye stone has been used to complement the beautifully figured and wavy grain of the Ancient Kauri wood. This stone was traditionally carried as an amulet to provide self-confidence, courage and strength.
Turquoise
Turquoise is a sacred stone used for centuries by the Native American’s in all healing work. This is a stone of peace, serenity and tranquillity. Southern Cross Flutes uses only natural undyed turquoise.
