Western Red Cedar Love Flute – F# minor

USD $372

Handcrafted from Western Red Cedar, this Native American-style flute resonates in the key of F#, a tone often associated with deep connection and spiritual expansion. Its soft, gentle voice carries a soothing presence, making it ideal for meditation, personal reflection, or musical exploration.

The flute features Tanekaha wood at the mouthpiece and nest, offering a natural contrast to the cedar’s warm grain, while a Turquoise stone inlay adds a touch of vibrancy—symbolizing harmony, protection, and creative flow. Designed with offset finger holes (right hand low) for ease of play, this flute invites both beginners and experienced players into a fluid and expressive journey.

  • About the wood

Western Red Cedar is the quintessential Native American love flute wood. Very light to hold, this flute-wood produces a classic warm, rich and resonant tone. Being a softwood, it is very absorbent which helps in reducing moisture buildup within the flute while playing. It is typically a light brown colour with a sweet woody aroma under the nose. Traditionally known as the “long life maker” or “tree of life”, Western Red Cedar is native to the American Pacific North West, and to this day has extensive applications among First Nation peoples.

    About the stone

Turquoise is a sacred stone used for centuries by the Native American’s in all healing work. This is a stone of peace, serenity and tranquillity. Southern Cross Flutes uses only natural undyed turquoise.
